The apex body of Kannada film industry – Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce headed by DR Jairaj and others met the Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa and urged for the 100 percent approval for the cinema hall occupation.
As the 50 percent allowance of cinema halls is not working out and in addition to it the collections would not equal the theatre maintenance expenditure.
The big films that draw huge fans to the theatres are exactly looking for this situation. NMSuresh, Umesh Banakar and others were present when the memorandum was submitted.
According to sources in the month of August the 100 percent occupation permission is likely to come.
