Producer MN Kumar carefully thought remake film ‘Bhadra’ is ‘Subhadra’ in action, emotion, songs, choreography and cinematography.
Why Bhadra is very interesting despite of remake is the making strength in director Mahesh Rao. He has corrected from his earlier two films (Dheemaku and

Murali Meets Meera were not that bad) and made engaging in his third film.

The screenplay might be the same but the dialogues are good in standards. Shanker Billamane has given right words to the protagonist Prajwal Devaraj to steal the show. Prajwal action portions handled by Raviverma and thriller Manju are chilling.

Who is this Bhadra? Bayindha Mathu Kaiyinda Ayudha Jara Bardhu….he says. A young and effective in outlook does give the trouble when he is troubled.

He fools the inspector in his village by marrying his own daughter to her lover and so he is bumped to city for proper education. On his first visit he becomes a witness to the murder. Prompt citizen Bhadra comes as approver makes him to take on the battalion of Naga the underworld king. He takes on in funny situations but throws a challenge in the burial ground. Not only has that Bhadra seriously loved Naga sister Kavya (Daisy Shah).

How to end the cinema? It is not the usual maramari but an action portion between Bhadra and Naga. Three chances given by Bhadra to slash him are not made use by Naga. He is let free with a message that rowdy power is not lasting.

Prajwal Devaraj is lovable in every angle. When he is funny his Chocó face glitters, when he is an action youth he is fumes well, when he smiles in dance situations he is handsome. What else is required for a hero – Prajwal Devaraj has in him.

Daisy Shah is bit aged for Prajwal, Mico Nagaraj is nice, Sampath as underworld Naga is routine. Sharan and Bullet Prakash steal in the comedy departments.

Sriguru songs are also in top quality – Hai Chinna Baa Chinna…. Chinna Chinna Nanna bavi Yajamana….a song for Sharan Thund Langa Haki Kondu….namba Beda reminds Narasimha Raju song Beda Beda Nambabeda…..Hengasarannu endigu neenu nambabeda….

The cameraman Jai Anand is once again good. His earlier film Murali Meeta Meera was also pretty good. The action portions compositions are very absorbing.

This is a film worth a dekko!
