By and large Kashinath Production Training Institute has worked very well. It is learnt the production expenses and budget of the movie has come down with the dexterity of Kashinath.

Everything is OK about this film. The first is brilliant. The second half is above average. Trimming a few minutes it would be still better.

‘12 AM Madhyarathri’ not allow the audience to get up and go. It holds the interest as the tricky screenplay and intelligent piece of work from debutant Karthik settles everyone to the seats.

Moving slowly but precisely the director Karthik knows how to give a shock and surprise to the audience brains. At some places he creates terror and Rajesh Ramanath has done an excellent re-recording for the film.

Till the first half of the film one will not know that the protagonist Trishul (Abhimanyu) is with ghost Shalini (Divya Sridhar). The suspicion the director points to Trishul at places. It is only in the second half beginning the past of Shalini reveals.

It is a revenge saga. The ghost does not even leave the lover so easily. Then think about her friends. Despite of repeated pleas Shalini wants to take revenge. The idol of Hanuman in the hands and the sacred cover to the hand plus reaching the top level Mantrik in putting aside the witch craft happens.

Kashinath as Professor in the Medical College gives surprises often. The issue of counseling needs to be pruned.

As a youngster Abhimanyu has performed well. When he knows that Shalini is not living and told that she is dead in road accident – a slight correction was needed. In the flash back the death of Shalini is not shown as road accident.

Divya Sridhar should open up well to perform. The role of Shastri has clicked in this film.

The sound effects, graphics, night effect shooting by Umapathi are on high standards.

You have to hold your breath quite often while watching this film.
