As expected and as reported in www.chitratara.com historical film ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’ bagged the best entertainment film award.

Challenging star DARSHAN gets his first best actor award for his powerful performance in ‘Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna’. Even this award was also expected. Ravi Verma is also winner for his special contribution to this film ‘KVSR’.

The 2012 state award announcement was announced by Karnataka Information minister in the presence of head of award committee KCN Chandrasekhar and information director Vishukumar on Monday evening at Vartha Soudha.

The annual award of Puttanna Kanagal award goes to B Dattaraj, Dr Rajakumar award is bestowed on M Bhaktavatsala, Dr Vishnuvardhana award goes to Dr Rajesh – all carry Rs. 2 lakh and gold medal.

The first best film is Tallana of director S Sudarshan, second best is Bharat Stores of Basanth Kumar Patil and P Seshadri, third best film award is announced for Edegarike of Sumana Kitthur direction.

A film for social concern goes to ‘Karanika Shishu’, best regional film is Konjavaram, best children film is Little Master, best first time award director goes to ‘Alemaari’ of director Santhu.
