In the beauty contest held on 13th January 2017 at Dr Ambedkar Bhavan, Bengaluru the KSIC Miss Karnataka crown was fitted for Ms Shalini Gowda from Ramanagara.

A colorfully organized event by KSIC Mysuru Silk, powered by Vitabiotics Perfectil and Well Woman, the Karnataka minister for Information Roshan Baig and A Manju were present.

India Classic Arts Roopa Iyer, noted director of international repute and actress represented the event.

Besides Miss Karnataka for Shalini Gowda, the first runner up to Archana Mosale from Hassan, 2nd runner up to Bindya Harish from Bengaluru, Miss Beautiful for Sony Khan from bengaluru, Mss Perfectil to Archana Mosale and Miss Well Woman crown was fitted to Bindya Harish.

The beauty pageant was organized with a purpose. To create awareness on breast cancer, there was a Pink round - Specially designed costumes in Pink Color. There was another round of Fashion Show for KSIC Mysore Silks...heritage product, which is century old in the market.
