KRISHNA THULASI EXCELLENT
Posted date: 20 Fri, Apr 2018 – 09:33:06 PM
Title – Krishna Thulasi, Producer – M Narayaswamy, Direction – Sukesh Nayak, Music – Kiran Ravindranath, Cinematography – Navin Akshi, Cast – Sanchari Vijay, Meghasri, Tabala Nani, Kuri Pratap and others.

Very rarely this kind of film comes on silver screen. Sukesh Naik debutant is a director of future of Kannada cinema. In his first film he had shown high degree of skill in all departments of cinema.

The story, screenplay, dialogues are marvelous, music is very soothing, acting from key actors Sanchari Vijay and Meghasri is hall mark of this film. The performance of Ramesh Bhat, Tabala Nani, Gururaja Hoskote is apt and precise.

The screenplay is what makes you to watch this film. It is so decent and delectable. Sukesh knowledge in putting right words also describes his strength in writing. He gives many guesses to the audience and that is what wins him accolades.

Till first half closure we are aware that Krishna alias Krishnakumar is blind. From the start of second half we ascertain that Thulasi is also blind. Krishna has mother at his village and he lives in Mysuru as tourist guide with wide knowledge. Thulasi has very caring father Ramesh Bhat at home.

Audience at one level thinks that mother of Krishna and father of Thulasi may donate an eye so that they see the outside world. It is because such an immense attachment they have. No it does not happen like that.

The case is very typical – Krishna is close to Thulasi and his belief that he can lead happy life as she has vision. It is similar thought for Thulasi. But at the coffee shot on a rainy evening Thulasi reads out the poems of writer ‘Mallige’ that is from a brail book, it is shock and dismay for Krishna.

Krishna wants to go away from the life of Thulasi so that she could get a partner who has vision. This is nothing but sacrifice. Thulasi disturbed with Krishna deviating makes it a point that she cannot think of anyone in life other than him.

What next you imagine. Sanchari Vijay for his ‘Bhavishya’ should accept scripts like this but not ‘Varthamana’. He is splendid in his performance and as a blind it is very difficult to perform. He has done a tremendous work.

Sweet looking Meghasri is another right choice. It is a debut for her. She has understood every bit of the film role and performed with ease.

The film is touching and stirs your soul when Gururaj Hoskote character takes a round and makes a piece of advice.

Kiran Ravindranath somehow has learnt the magic of being part of very good films. He had hit a hat trick. His previous two films ‘First Rank Raju and Raju Kannada Medium’ were mind blowing in results. Of course Kiran Ravindranath has the magical touch in his scorings.

Cinematography by Navin Akshi is commendable. The beauty of Palace city Mysuru is very well stored in the camera by Navin Akshi.

This is a must see film by the entire family audience. Emotional best cinema running in the city!
