We usually see Kannada films are shot primarily in India. And now a Kannada film which has been shot completely in America is making all the right buzz. The film has had it's premier show in America and has got good response. We are talking about Kannada film Babru, which had it's trailer released by Rocking Star Yash recently.
Directorial venture of Sujay Ramaiah has been jointly produced by Suman Nagarkar Productions and Yuga Creations. The film has an ensemble star cast comprising of Suman Nagarkar, Mahi Hiremath, Sunny Moza, Rey Tostado, Prakruthi Kashyap, Gaana Bhat and Sandeep Belliyappa. The film has music by Poornachandra Tejaswi. The technical crew includes editing by Bindu Madhava and cinematography by Sumukha and Sujay Ramaiah.
Babru had it's premier show on Kannada Rajyotsava day in California's Cini Lounge. The film had seven housefull shows creating a record on November 1. NRI Kannadigas have given thumbs up for the film. This is the first time in history that a Kannada film got seven housefull shows. On November 2, the film had it's screening in Folsom, where nearly 200 people watched the film. Usually not more than 50 people have watched a Kannada film in Folsom.
On October 30, cast and crew show was organised a special show. Popular multi-lingual singer Vijay Prakash came and saw the film. He was impressed with the making and praised the team for their efforts.
