There has been tremendous improvement in the director Srinivasaraju in ‘Nannavanu’ compared to his first film ‘Sangathi’. The second half of the film ‘Nannavanu’ is loaded with more surprise package and tight narration compared to the first half of the film. Had the director mixed the second half with some guessing moments this ‘Nannavanu’ had the opportunity to raise high in the standards.

However there is nothing much to worry. The good actors, good music and nice treat from cinematography there is ample opportunity for the audience to take a look at this film.

It is a revenge saga for Sanjana. She is the incarnation of her previous birth. She was Gowri in her previous birth and she was killed by MLA Chandrappa (played by Avinash) when she falls in love with graveyard protector Basava (played by Prajwal Devaraj). So after 20 plus years Gowri is Sanjana and she has all the courage to take revenge on the present chief minister who was former MLA. Sanjana hires the innocent advocate Bharadwaj (Prajwal) and take up the case to book the culprit.

It is a very good role for Prajwal in the second half. As Basva he has excelled and the pre interval role is not challenging for him. The scenes moving from two places – Prajwal and gang and Komal and gang look routine and they are disjointed.

Aindrita Ray steals the show for her sublime beauty. She looks so charming throughout. Komalkumar has a good variation from routine roles. Doddanna, Jayanthi, Avinash are Ok in their roles.

Maestro Ilayaraja has given three lovely tunes – Muthu Muthu thare Muthamma….Enidhinidho….and Modhalane Baaari….are passable tunes. Dathu outdoor location shoot is a treat to the eyes.

At least for the second half you can watch this film.
