`GUNDRAGOVI`SATHYA SHINES IN VILLAGE VERSES CITY MINDSET
Posted date: 30/October/2010

Another black complexioned actor Sathya has shown from this film that he is here to stay. His dialogue delivery style, robust build and ability to emote are plus points in him. Sathyameva Jayathe! The film set in the village backdrop with some crudeness in the role of the protagonist is good in many parts.

Newcomer Tharesh Raj has re-stitched the ‘Thabbali’ Kannada film but not makes it boring. The village dominated by two Gowda rivals. The freewheeler with no job Kummi joins one of the Gowdas but his earning becomes important for him because he is guarding the child he found and Madhu is staying with him. Why and how Madhu stays with Kummi the ruffian is another interesting part.

Finally when Madhu fiancé Gopi comes it is not the end but the beginning of some tragedy. Opponent Mayanna Gowda son wants to marry Madhu. On the other hand Gopi suspects Madhu lead to some complications. The rest you have to watch it on screen.

Sathya is good in this fury filled role. Navyasri as Madhu is OK. Sharat Lohitashva is impressive. Pushpa Swamy has emoted well. Ninasam Ashwath is wasted.

The title track and Hage Bandhu Hogu Omme….are impressive songs in this film! Niranjan Babu has worked hard behind the camera to give the right mood for the film.

Worth a dekko!
