The 99th film of Shivarajakumar the highly respected actor ‘Mylari’ has many shades in it and narration technique of director R Chandru is the admirable factor. The presence of top ranking actor Shivarajakumar in films make a difference but in ‘Mylari’ it makes a huge difference.

The audience needs jolts at different places what director R Chandru has understood first. He has conceived the film with great effort but the strength for the scenes he should have worked out still better.

The action portions are chilling, the emotional portions are mind blowing, and the romantic portions are eye catching and over all ‘Mylari’ absorbing at many places.

Who said director R Chandru the opposition leader can function like a ruling party leader? Is it because he invited opposition leader Siddaramaiah to the muhurut he took up the opposition leader in his cinema? God only knows? This is the area he should have corrected and consulted!

Mylari knows how to get going despite of drawbacks. Firstly he has a punctured family life. His father humiliates him because he does not score good marks. In Mylapura Mylari also joins the college and likes Anitha from his younger days. He is timid in telling his love. He knows well that Anitha loves him. Anitha also has no courage in expressing her love in front of her brother.

So the marriage for Anitha takes place with another. Before that Mylari is asked to get out from the house. Already hurt Mylari for showing discrepancy even raises his hand at his father. Eventually he walks out of the house to bengaluru. Good at writing Mylari joins a tabloid ‘Khadga’ and he even holds the ‘Khadga’ when his colleague and his family is murdered for his story in the tabloid.

It is a revenge saga for Mylari. He puts down everyone who comes on his way. He even kills the opposition leader in the day light and goes to jail. The judgment for Mylari killings is that he should be sent to gallows!
R Chandru adds some more twist at this stage. Mylari is awarded with state award and is rewarded in the family front. What happened to death sentence? Go and watch the film.

Shivarajakumar is best once again in emotional scenes and action portions. He dances like Puneeth Rajakumar age on screen is a major compliment for him at this age of 47.

Sada is so sweet in close ups. Sanjana is charming one song. Rangayana Raghu is in a flash. Ravi Kaale does not have that force. Suresh Mangalore is natural. Vidya Murthy is at crying best.

Gurukiran master of melody and modern day music has mixed both. Mylapura Mylari….sung by Puneeth Rajakumar sets fire on the screen.

Chandrasekhar is absolutely fine in his cinematography.
