BRILLIANT PACK OF LOVE, TRAGEDY, TRAVEL, SELF RELIANCE IS ?OLAVE MANDHARA?
Posted date: 21/January/2011

What best you can expect from a debutant team of director, actor, producer and cameraman? It is all there in this film that gives a travelogue experience for the audience. The standard set in by the director is superb. The cinematography is par excellence; music director Deva in three songs steals the show.
Producer Govindaraju has picked the right subject and screenplay. Driector Jayatheertha – Theertha and Prasada is memorable treat!
Young and lanky hero Shrikanth is a go getter in all respects in this film. A little more of stunning scenes were required for him. The dialogue delivery department he should have taken more care.
The film gives a real meaning of life to the protagonist Shrikanth (Shrikanth). It is only when he finds at the last scene his struggle for love materialize. It may be the real Indian sentiments but at the cliffhanger style the film ends with real love winning in the battle of gaining the truth of life.
Srikanth firmly believes that ‘Priti Saibardu Priti Kondhu Navu Badhukabeku’ – this turns out dangerous in the beginning and leaves a feel that director is up to a violent love. It does not go according to the belief one construct in the mind.
Like how the lover says Sath Samundar you should cross to win the love in the bookish style the protagonist crosses seven rivers at least. How that is possible to run thousands of kilometers is the only illogical element. In the cinema media in cycle one can go from Bangalore to Agra then why not it is a marathon running!
In a cart wheel the old couple reach Varanasi and end their life is another not so near to real life aspect the film focuses.
Yet crossing various rivers, mountains, forest areas the hero reaching the place of his Assam living lover Priti is interesting although not realistic.
Like how one of the dialogues ‘Kashta pattta hana ishta patta hudigi kalkobaradhu’, Dehadha Achegu Deshadha Achegu .. and Yee Rs.100 note appa ninna halavru cheque galigintha bara’ are well framed and adjusted.
The son of GP Rajarathnam shot on Rangayana Raghu and Veena Sunder Ondekeril hut beldoru,,,nin neppaitha nanji....and the characters affection to the core touches the hearts.
Olave olave mandhara vaithu noda jeeevakke....dehadha achegu deshadha chegu preetisuve gelathi.... Kayavaschamanasa...pritisone manhsa pritiya jogi madidaru kooli premakunte beli....
Dhasharath Manji and Phalgumi Devi badi hoithu mallige rithi...is once again the height of affection. Dasharath Manji building road at Gehlordat made in 22 years of 75 kilometers almost the similar time for building Taj Mahal.
There are some films become very dear to the heart. This is one such film. The dialogues and screenplay although lengthy go well in the film.
In his debut Shrikanth is absorbing. He has struggled and run for success is admirable. Akanksha is a beauty to watch. She has serene looks and has good opportunity ahead.
Rangayana Raghu is once again best in his role. Nazer has nothing much to do. Cinematography Ravikumar Sana is mind blowing. Deva’s lilting tunes brings back the olden days melody.
This is a running cinema and it should run well in the theatres!
